Hornets Policy & Politics Alumni and Sacramento State hosted an inspiring reception Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the California Museum. More than 150 alumni, along with government, policy, and community leaders, attended and received updates about the plans for Sacramento State’s downtown location. Alumnus and Sacramento County Supervisor Phil Serna '92 shared his thoughts on the importance of Sacramento State to the entire region. President Robert S. Nelsen, along with leaders from the College of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies, the Institute for Social Research, the Center for Collaborative Policy, the Center for California Studies, the Serna Center and the College of Continuing Education, all spoke about collaborating with the wider downtown community from the new building.
